The Chuckanut Century is the 2nd Sunday after Labor Day

The Chuckanut Century Bicycle Ride is presented by the Mount Baker Bicycle Club as our signature ride. For more information, including directions, maps, and entry form, please visit our Chuckanut Century Website. This year's Chuckanut Century will be Sunday, September 20, 2015.

Northwest Tandem Rally was in Bellingham, July 2-6 2015

The 29th Northwest Tandem Rally event was presented by the Mount Baker Bicycle Club on July 2-6, 2015. 800 Tandem Riders descended on Bellingham over the long weekend for riding, parties, camaraderie, and fun! For more information, please visit the NWTR/2015 website.

MBBC Booth at Seattle Bike Show - also Vancouver in 2015

The MBBC has a booth every year at the Seattle Bike Show, and volunteers from the club staff the booth over the 2-day event. We use this booth to promote bicycling in Bellingham through the Chuckanut Century, 2015 Tandem Rally, and other Bellingham Tourism events.

In 2015, the Expo was managed by a new events company - Cascadia Events. Seattle's Cascade Bike Club has passed the event on to the company who already runs the Seattle Golf Show, so this year's Bike Show was at Century Link Conference center on February 28 and March 1 -- the same weekend as the Golf Show. In the past, the Seattle Bike Expo was the largest consumer bicycle show in the US, with 250+ exhibitor booths, exhibits of gear, travel, health and fitness. There are presentations and speakers throughout the weekend. The 2015 event was very large since it included golf and other outdoor adventures. The Bicycle portion of the show was smaller, with just over 100 bicycle exhibitors. The MBBC was at the show in partnership with Bellingham Whatcom Tourism.

Also in partnership with Bellingham Whatcom Tourism, we shared a booth at the Vancouver Bike Show, the following weekend (March 7-8). See p. 3 of February newsletter.

Yearly & Quarterly Meetings

There were some great meet-ups and events in 2014 and more as we move into 2015. The club puts on several get-togethers per year in addition to our many club bike rides.
